Meetings to discuss preparations being made for winter with Northern Powergrid and Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP

Northern Powergrid together with Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP are holding two community meetings for residents to hear about improved measures being taken to prepare for any disruption caused by storms this winter following those that occurred last winter. There will be a presentation and opportunity to ask questions.

This will also be an opportunity to learn more about the £7.5 million charitable foundation which will be awarding grants to local organisations with a focus on improving energy resilience during emergency events as well as supporting charities combatting fuel poverty. The Northern Powergrid Foundation is open to applications for organisations in Northumberland and we will be discussing how to apply and the kinds of projects that will be eligible.

The meetings are taking place on:

• Friday 4^thNovember, 6pm – 7.30pm at Belford Primary School, West Street, Belford, NE70 7QD
• Tuesday 8^thNovember, 6pm – 7.30pm at Jubilee Hall, Rothbury, Morpeth NE65 7SD

Residents are invited to attend for light refreshments 30 minutes before the start of the meetings.
