Mayor takes penalty shot at Walking Football

Amble Mayor Jane Dargue last night attended the first walking football session provided by Tiny Woods Academy at James Calvert Spence College.

The sessions aimed at the ‘over 40’s’ are every Tuesday at 6.00pm – 7.00pm and are FREE at the moment due to a donation from Amble Town Council.

The Mayor thoroughly enjoyed the session scoring a couple of goals and taking a penalty shot too, she said ‘It’s great fun and it’s amazing what a pace you can put on charging around a football pitch for an hour without being able to run; I really recommend it’.
