Work on the revitalisation of the play area known as the Paddlers has begun. Whilst not possible to have paddling pools again due to all the health and safety regulations, Council was adamant that some form of water play should be included in the new plans. There will be other new features in this area as well as upgraded footpaths for walking, running, cycling and some static fitness equipment as we want this to be an area for the whole family to enjoy.
There has been community involvement throughout in meetings and by Cllrs talking to people in the town. Many suggested a revitalised area deserved a new name, therefore Council determined to let our community decide. Do we retain the old one or change it to one of the three others which have been suggested in these discussions? Now is your chance to decide whether you want to retain the historic name or go with a new one. Voting boxes are in the two post offices for the next 4 weeks or you can email you choice to ask@amble.gov.uk
They 4 choice are:
Paddlers Park
Puffin Park
Quarry Park
Coquet Park
