As part of our WW1 Centenary Commemorations we are hosting:
THE “YEARS TO REMEMBER” CONCERT AT ST CUTHBERT’S PARISH HALL ON FRIDAY 24TH APRIL 2015 AT 7.45 (doors open at 7.30)
The concert, timed to coincide with the centenary of the Gallipoli Campaign, is a commemoration of the First World War and an evocation of the times in song, dance and verse.
Featured performers include Amble’s Own “Harbour Lights” Choir, “Mouthing Off”, champion “Star and Shadow” rapper dancers, Mary Hollins as the “Liverpool Linnet” and “Dolly Grey”, the Northumbria Army Cadet’s Pipes and Drums with Highland Dancers, the Amble Suffragette Rally and Mr Ron Creasey playing The Last Post.
Compere – the irrepressible and multi-talented Mr Alex Swailes MBE.
There will be a raffle, refreshments on sale and song sheets will be provided. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to join with others in what will be a truly memorable community event.
