Earlier this year, we announced that we would like to give a commemorative coin to any child born to an elector of Amble Parish on the day of the Royal Wedding of Prince William to Catherine Middleton or to the first child born to an elector of Amble Parish following the Royal Wedding.
In July doting Grandma Muriel Walmsley contacted us following the birth of her grandson, Caleb Brian Wake to parents Susan Edminson and Simon Wake on 10th May 2011.
Unfortunately due to the time delay in an eligible family coming forward we were unable to purchase the Royal Wedding commemorative coin from the Royal Mint and instead opted for the 2011 UK Definitive Baby Gift Pack containing newly minted current coins of the realm. Mayor Leslie Bilboe, presented the coin set to Susan and baby Caleb on 1st August.
