Town Council Review Meeting 14th January 2013

Minutes of a meeting of Amble Town Council held on Monday 14th January 2013 at 1.00pm in the Council Office, The Quayside, Harbour Road, Amble.

                                                                                   

1. PRESENT: Cllrs Hinson, Arckless, Bilboe, Weir, Rev’d Nicholson, Mrs Dargue, Mrs Lewis and Miss Morrison together with the Clerk

 

2. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE:

Cllr Palin – work commitments.  It was RESOLVED that the apologies be accepted.

 

3. ACCEPTANCE OF DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST:

No declarations of interest were made.

 

It was RESOLVED that under Section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public will be excluded from the Meeting during consideration of the following items on the Agenda due to sensitive

 

PUBLIC VERSION OF PRIVATE

 

P01. To consider the report from the Employment Law advisor and make a decision regarding the services for which the advice had been sort.

 

(The Clerk read out Cllr Palin’s email contribution to the meeting.)

 

After discussion regarding the importance of flexibility and ensuring the appropriate advice is followed whilst the efficiency, effectiveness and economics of the service offered   It was RESOLVED that the Council agrees in principle, to the heading ‘option 3’ as in the report.

 

The Clerk would request the employment law advisor to draft the letters to employees to this affect, and clarify procedure on the initial meeting with the employees to discuss the review of services outcome.

 

The meeting closed at 2.05pm
