Minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Parish of Amble held on Tuesday 7th May 2013 at 6.30pm in Fourways 2, Dilston Terrace, Amble.

- 1. Minutes of the last Annual Meeting – 23rd April 2012; the Mayor informed that the minutes were available via the Town Council website of in the Town Council minutes file at the library.
- 2. Matters Arising – None.
- 3. Report of the Chairman/Town Mayor covering the activities of the Town Council – The Chairman gave his report (copy attached) of which there were no questions
- 4. Report of County Councillors followed followed by any questions:
County Councillor Arckless reported that both he and Jeff Watson had retained their seats in the recent County Council elections, the Amble County Councillor position now included 10% of Chevington. Northumberland County Council would meet on 22nd May. There were no questions.
- 5. Report of Community Groups/Organisations followed by any questions:

The Coastguard informed that the organisation had received the Queens Diamond Jubilee volunteer award.
Cllr Arckless questioned the inland service; the Coastguard informed that this included flooding and maritime search and rescue.
Graeme Harwood gave a verbal report on Homes For Northumberland.
A restructure was underway with job roles changing; there would be a Neighbourhood Liaison Officer in Amble and the Housing Allocation Officer would be located in Blyth. There was an aim for more community involvement. There were plans for regular ‘meet the staff’ sessions at he library, estate walkabouts and improvements to the planters/flower beds. A tenant newsletter would update the public on the restructure.

Steven Turner queried parking in the town and what solutions were being looked at. Cllr Arckless informed that meetings were taking place with Highways Officers and suggestions would go out to public consultation
