The Northumberland Community Tapestry
A Celebration of our Heritage and our People Co-ordinated by Rotary.
Summary:
The Northumberland Community Tapestry is a major new embroidered project bringing together all the Rotary Clubs of Northumberland. Inspired by the Great Tapestry of Scotland it will tell the story of Northumberland’s rich history and stark diversity. It will depict the people, culture and landscapes of our county stitched by local hands. Each Rotary Club will co-ordinate a single large Tapestry. We aim to have each tapestry designed and stitched in each Club’s locality. The finished tapestry will be united with those from other Clubs to form the Northumberland Tapestry.
