Tuesday 7th March 10.30 – 2.30 NWN Activism Day
Hosted by Northumberland Women’s Network (NWN) this event is about having a say on issues that affect local women, including Rape Crisis / PCC women-focussed research on getting public safety messages right; ideas for improving women’s appointments take-up, and hear about research projects on how care workers and women interested in careers in green industries are faring in the cost of living crisis. There are also two brilliant speakers – sharing their experience of women as natural builders, and as trade union activists. The day will end with a meeting of NWN’s Activism group which anyone can join if they are not already involved. The event is at the Dovecote Centre, Dovecote Street, Amble NE65 0PE and lunch is included.
