Parking and Traffic Flow – Amble

In 2013 Northumberland County Council received a petition with 3,400 signatures from Mrs Ann Burke, Chair of Amble Business Club regarding the frustration caused by lack of parking facilities in the town, the impact it was having on businesses and the need for  the creation of a long stay car park in Amble.

In January 2014 Amble Town Council agreed to fully support Mrs Burkes petition and reiterated her request to NCC.

At the direction of Executive Officers of NCC a group was set up in October 2014 consisting of:

County Councillors for the area (2)

Representatives of Amble Town Council (2) and the Clerk

Representatives of the Business Community (2)

Representative of Amble Development Trust (2)

Northumberland County Council Highways Officers
