MenuWhilst the Paddling Pools and adjacent Playground are under the responsibility of Northumberland County Council, Amble Town Council commissioned, in December, experienced independent consultants to carry out an options analysis and feasibility study of the area.
We will be working closely with Northumberland County Council during this process and hope that once the report from the consultants is received in the Spring we will have a clearer way forward to enhance the area.
We have identified our objectives of the area as follows:
- to provide better recreational facilities for families
- to provide additional facilities for families
- to not increase the call on local precept payer
Any future devlopment to the site will be dependent on funding being available, County Councillors Robert Arckless and Jeff Watson have agreed to contribute from their Members Small Schemes towards a project that is viable and maintainable for the area and Amble Development Trust are happy to be involved in any joint funding bid that is applied for.
