NOTICE OF ELECTION

OF A COUNCILLOR FOR THE

AMBLE TOWN COUNCIL (CENTRAL WARD)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT: –

1. An Election is to be held of one Parish Councillor for the above named Parish.

1. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Elections Office of Northumberland County Council at the address shown below during normal working hours on any day after the date of this notice, but not later than noon on 24 January 2014

1. Nomination papers may be obtained from the Elections Office, at the address below, where at the request of any elector for the Parish, a nomination paper will be prepared for signature.

1. If the Election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday            20 February 2014, between the hours of 7.00am and 10.00pm.

1. Electors should take note that new applications to vote by post and requests to amend, cancel or redirect existing postal and proxy arrangements must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address shown below by not later than 5.00pm on            5 February 2014, if they are to be effective for this election.

1. 6.    New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address shown below, by not later than 5.00pm on 12 February 2014.

1. Applications to vote by proxy at this election on the grounds of physical incapacity, where that the physical incapacity occurred after 5.00pm on 12 February 2014 must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address shown below by not later than 5.00pm on 20 February 2014, accompanied by appropriate medical certification.
