Allotments

4.1.1: AAHS had approached the Builder and had agreed a date in late August / early September. ATC contacted the Builder to confirm we would be instructing him to carry out the work.

4.1.2: Letter sent to Chairman of AAHS for his/ secretary? contact details. Email received with chair/ secretary? contact details.

 

Philip Drive Play Area

4.2.1: Burnt Matches and Match Box removed from Play Area.

4.2.2: Environmental Operative requested by Clerk to preserve the wood on the Play Equipment and carry out painting of external metal fence in the Play Area.

4.2.3: Environmental Operative requested to remove weeds from the grated area at the entrance to the Play Area.

4.2.4: ROSPA report received.

4.2.5: Environmental Operative requested to tighten the fittings on the Springer ride.

 

Seats

4.3.1: HMP – No response received as to how long it will take to complete the refurbishment of the cast iron end seat.

4.3.2: Resident contact details given to Cllr re: seat within the Town.

4.3.3: Administration Assistant took pictures of the seat mentioned by Cllr Nicholson.

4.3.4:The Town Clerk who had spoken to the builder who had located the bin IN the T.I.C. area- if it was moved forward onto the cobble stones it would not be secure and he felt it was best to be left where it is.

 

Litter Bins

4.4.1: As agreed in last Amenities Meeting and ratified by Finance Committee – 2 x Trafford Litter Bins have been ordered. Confirmation delivery before start of August (w/c 22/0/2013).

4.4.2: NCC contacted re: the placement of the 2 extra litter bins at Leazes Street. NCC refused the placement of the extra litter bins, requesting replacement of existing with new.

4.4.3: Environmental Operative given dog/refuse stickers to be placed on Litter Bins.

4.4.4: NCC contacted re: Dog Fouling Stickers on Lamp Posts in the Gloster Park / Meadows area. NCC replied the stickers will be placed on the Lamp Posts.

 

Bus Shelters

4.5.1: Links Avenue guttering completed and drain unblocked.

4.5.2: Acklington Road sloped floor installed.

4.5.3: Church Street ‘Mushroom’ to be placed in the top of the down comer.

 

GARDEN AWARDS:

4.6.1: Printed the Garden Award invitation letters to be hand delivered by Ward Cllrs. List of the resident attendance will be compiled.

4.6.2: Garden Award Plaques received in office from the 2012 winners. Overall Winner Trophy requires plaque reattached. To be done when awards are sent off to be engraved.

4.6.3: New Garden Award Plaques ordered for East Allotment and for Central and West Wards.

4.6.4: Allotment Judge has submitted the 2 x winners. Awaiting results from the Alnwick Gardens Judge.

4.6.5: Contacted Local Printer re: Printing Garden Awards Certificates. As there are too many categories / differences for the certificates it is not worth printing.
