MenuCouncillors are currently shortlisting gardens in the town ready for the judge to look at them round about the second week in July. Don’t forget you can nominate a garden by giving details to the Clerk, but it must be visible to a person passing by outside the property. Please send your nominations to the Clerk by 5pm on 24th June.
Many Amble residents have beautiful back or enclosed garden which can’t be seen by the general public but into which a tremendous amount of effort is put- now these can be shown to everyone by entering our Virtual Garden Awards.
Take a digital picture (maximum of 8MB) that fits one of the following categories:
- Close up of Flower
- Flora with Fauna
- My landscape
Enter the competition by emailing you image to ask@amble.gov.uk – you will receive a confirmation message that your image has been received. You may only submit one entry per category. Images must not feature people and may be used by Amble Town Council in the future.

Standards at the 2 allotment sites have improved so much over recent years that our judge has been having a very hard time deciding on 1 winner; therefore this year we are having a winner for each site!
Make a note in your diary to come to the award ceremony on Friday 26th July at 18.30 in the Trinity Methodist Church Hall- everyone is welcome to join in, see the winners and enjoy refreshments and a chat.
