11 volunteers turned up at yesterdays ‘Community Tidy-up’, meeting in the Town Square at 5.30pm.
Areas covered included the old railway line, North Street towards the Braid and the roadside near Brambles on Coquet Industrial Estate, the volunteers gave just one hour of their time and 20 bags of litter were collected; including one dead pigeon 🙁
All those that took part were entered into a draw to win £20 of Co-op vouchers, the winner was Anne Orde.
A big thank you to all to the 11 volunteers who gave up their time to Keep Amble Tidy, and to Northumberland County Council for providing the equipment and bags.
I would encourage all residents and visitors of the town to use the bins provided and have some pride in Amble.
