Minutes of a Meeting of Planning Committee held on Tuesday 22nd May 2012 at 6.30 p.m. in The Council Office, The Quayside, Amble
Cllr Morrison (Vice Chair), Cllr Mrs Dargue and Cllr Mrs Lewis together with the Clerical Assistant, Mrs Burn.
2.1: Cllr Hinson – holidays.
2.2: Cllr Nicholson – holidays.
The apologies were proposed for acceptance by Cllr Mrs Lewis, seconded by Cllr Mrs Dargue and agreed.
3. CLERK’S REPORT:
3.1: Responses entered on to the new Northumberland County Council website.
3.2: Email sent to NCC Planning re: 12/00852/FUL – 16, Newmoor Close, Amble.
No plans were received from NCC.
Cllr Mrs Lewis requested the Clerical Assistant access the NCC Portal regularly to check all plans relating to Amble are received.
3.3: Street Trading Permit Response.
Cllr Morrison informed the members of the response which had been sent to NCC.
Cllr Mrs Lewis enquired if the working hours had been clarified.
Cllr Mrs Lewis proposed The Clerk go through to the Harbour Masters office to ask about the catering van residing outside the building permanently, this was seconded by Cllr Mrs Dargue and agreed.

5.1: Consideration of a letter of support for the removal of yellow lines on the business / residential side of High Street. This item was requested by NCC Cllr Watson at the Town Council meeting, the members deferred the item to the Planning Committee.
Cllr Morrison explained to the members where the yellow lines were situated.
Cllr Mrs Lewis was concerned as an official letter had not been received from NCC.
Cllr Mrs Lewis was also concerned as an objection was submitted at the time of the Planning Application regarding the Yellow Lines.
Cllr Mrs Dargue commented in terms of balance, the trade by both Zecca and the Wellwood had increased, things had changed since the planning application was submitted.
Cllr Mrs Lewis proposed a letter be sent, in the current economic climate trade should be encouraged and the yellow lines mentioned should be removed, this was seconded by Cllr Mrs Dargue and agreed.

7.1:12/00682/FUL – 38 Ladbroke Street, Amble – Proposed loft alterations and front dormer roof.
Cllr Mrs Dargue proposed No Objections as there was existing dormer windows on the same street, this was seconded by Cllr Morrison and agreed.
7.2: 12/01446/FUL – Hope Farm, Amble – Proposed sun lounge/balcony and internal alterations.
Cllr Morrison proposed No Objections, this was seconded by Cllr Mrs Lewis and agreed.
8. DATE & TIME OF NEXT MEETING: The next Meeting will be arranged when any Planning Applications are received, (provisionally) at 6.30 p.m. in The Council Office, The Quayside, Amble.
