7. PLANNING APPLICATIONS:

7.1: 12/02073/FUL – 32 Bisley Road, Amble – Proposed extension.

The planning application was discussed.

It was felt that although the proposed application would be an overdevelopment of the site and the resulting building would be very prominent in a residential area, that other similar developments had been allowed and there would be no detrimental effect on neighbouring properties.

7.2: 12/02034/FUL – 75 Links Avenue, Amble – Erection of a single storey storage area to rear of shop.

The planning application was discussed. It was felt this would be an improvement in this area but

as a wooden fence could encourage Anti-Social Behaviour, a Galvanised Steel Metal Palisade Fence would be better suited for the residential area.

7.3: 12/02008/FUL – 35 Albert Street, Amble – Rear First Floor extension.

The planning application was discussed.

Concerns were raised regarding the possible loss of light to the first floor of the adjacent property. It was felt the Party Wall Act which was referred to in the planning application should be in force before work commences.

7.4: 12/02253/FUL – 14 Albert Street, Amble – Proposed Conversion from Retail/Office unit into Chiropody Clinic.

The planning application was discussed.

There were no objections.

7.5: 12/02254/FUL – 14 Albert Street, Amble – Traditional shop signage to Main Elevation on Albert Street.

The planning application was discussed.

There were no objections- this would be an enhancement.

7.6: 12/02279/FUL – Amble Links Coastal Retreat and Holiday Park, Links Road, Amble – Demolition of existing redundant residential building and associated garage. Extension and refurbishment of existing building and the provision of an outdoor multi use games area.

The planning application was discussed.

It was felt the proposed extension was a welcome addition to the facilities and shows their commitment to Amble and their confidence in the development of Amble. Hopefully the development would also bring further local employment.

7.7: 12/02428/FUL – St Oswald’s Court, Amble – Replacement windows and doors to all elevations.

The planning application was discussed.

There were no objections.

8. DATE & TIME OF NEXT MEETING: The next Meeting will be arranged when any Planning Applications are received, (provisionally) at 6.30 p.m. in The Council Office, The Quayside, Amble.
