An Amble for a Royal

On Monday 23rd July HRH Prince Charles will be visiting Amble as part of his visit to the North Northumberland Coast.

Northumberland County Council has put in place road closures between 2pm and 4.30pm; the roads affected are Queen Street, Coquet Street, Cross Street and Bridge Street.  Please bear the road closures in mind when going about your business.

The Prince of Wales will be given a tour of the Pride of Northumbria shop on his arrival, meeting the staff and volunteers.  He then will make his way to the Town Square where he will meet various communitiy groups and organisatons including the Town Council, represented by the Mayor Ian Hinson with Councillor Robert Arckless, Councillor Helen Lewis and the Town Clerk Elaine Brown.

The young people of Coquet Youth Team will be having a music fesitval in the Town Square commencing at 4pm after the Royal Visit.  The fesitval will feature local bands, refreshments and facepainting.  Please go along and show your support.
