Amble Jubilee Celebrations Monday 4th June 2012

An event to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in Amble  organised by Amble Action Group with the help of Amble Town Council, Warkworth Parish Council,  Amble Development Trust, Coquet Churches Together and many other local groups and organisations

11.30-12.30 Church Service to be held in St. Cuthbert’s Parish Church closing with a fanfare to signal the …start of a parade

12.30 – 13.00 Parade down Queen Street (for any children taking part the theme is Red, White and Blue)

13.00 – Picnic in Town Square; Live Music from the Ringtones, Hog Roast,  kids Roundabout, Spurreli Ice cream, Magician, Face Painter

13.00-15.00 – Coquet Shorebase Trust will be having an open day  for visitors and members of the public who wish to have a go in a Canoe and RNLI Lifeboat Station will also be open

14.30-15.00 – Falconry display Flight one at Little Shore

15.00 – North Side Surf Stand Up Paddle Display in Little Shore

15.00 – Harbour Lights Chior at the Little Shore

15.30 Pageant of Boats in the Harbour

16.15 RNLI Rescue Demo

16.30 Falconry display Flight 2 at Little Shore

17.00-19.00 Local band The Range playing live at the Little Shore

18:00-21:00 – Coronation Style celebration at Radcliffe Social Club – Free entry

19.00 – 21.30 – Local bands; Last Seduction, Otterhound and Snapped Strings playing live at the Litte Shore

21.30 – FIREWORKS DISPLAY from North Breakwater (gather at the Little Shore)

22.15 -Lighting of the Beacon on the Braid

 

A car boot sale will take place on the Harbour as normal, various stalls will be on Queen Street and at the Little Shore.

Amble and Warkworth also have many shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and other facilities for you to enjoy
