Minutes of a Meeting of Planning Committee held on Tuesday 12th July 2011 at 6.30 p.m. in The Council Office, The Quayside, Amble.
1. PRESENT:
Cllr Bilboe (Vice Chair), Cllr Weir and Cllr Mrs Lewis together with the Clerical Assistant, Mrs A Burn.
2. APOLOGIES:
2.1: Cllr Hinson – Holidays.
2.2: Cllr Rev. Nicholson – other commitments.
The apologies were proposed for acceptance by Cllr Mrs Lewis, seconded by Cllr Weir and agreed.
3. CLERK’S REPORT:
3.1: Responses sent to Northumberland County Council re: 11/00173/CCD
3.2: Town Council registered for online planning applications and decisions.
The clerical assistant informed the members of the new online system which Northumberland County Council have implemented for planning application decisions. The members advised printing only the front sheet of the decision and attach it to the front of the planning application. Cllr Mrs Lewis requested further investigation regarding the conditions for acceptance/refusal of the planning applications as they are do not seem to be currently included.

7. PLANNING APPLICATIONS:
7.1: 11/01299/LBC – 33 – 35 Queen Street., Amble.
No objections – Amble Town Council welcome the new business and the employment it creates. There were concerns regarding no facilities for recyclable waste. There are existing problems with landfill waste in the area. It was felt the opening hours should match other businesses in the surrounding area to lessen disturbance to nearby residents. The extraction outlet could have a detrimental effect to nearby residents and should be approved by Environmental Health.
7.2: 11/01055/LBC – 35 Queen Street, Amble.
No objections – the members had concerns regarding the boards being in place for an excessive amount of time.
8. DATE & TIME OF NEXT MEETING: The next Meeting will be arranged when any Planning Applications are received, (provisionally) at 6.30 p.m. in The Council Office, The Quayside, Amble.
